What will I need to be hired as a Teacher?

Fingerprint Background Check (DPS background check is separate from the required background check for CDE License. You will need to be fingerprinted for both).
References are conducted by our vendor, Skill Survey, on behalf of DPS (To ensure a timely process, please ask your references to expect an email from SkillSurvey).
You will need 5 references (3 managers and 2 personal)

A valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Teacher’s license or proof of active CDE licensure application (you can work off of one active application receipt for 90 days only).

Verification of Teaching experience (DPS determines your base salary by obtaining your previous teaching experience).
Copy of official conferred transcripts from each college or university attended
Front AND back of all transcripts
Must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
Foreign Transcripts? You must have your degrees course by course evaluated by a NACES member.
The successful completion of the above steps is your responsibility, including timely compliance with all related requests for documentation and official documents. Failure to promptly comply with such requests may result in your employment process being incomplete or delayed.
