Facility Management

Facility Management supports over 200 school programs and manages over 16 million square feet of enclosed building space in 187 DPS owned and leased facilities, and over 1600 acres of outdoor property.  Altogether, 17% of our facilities are registered historic landmarks. We are the second largest facility manager in the city, after the City and County of Denver. The average age of DPS-owned facilities is more than 55 years old.

The mission of Facility Management is to provide a safe, clean, and quality educational environment for all DPS students and staff; quality customer service both internally and externally, and to promote operations that are environmentally and economically efficient, effective and sustainable.
