South High Alumni and Friends Inc. (SHAFI) supports South by collecting and displaying the history of South, maintaining the clock, updating alumni records, facilitating class reunions, communicating with alumni three times a year, and providing financial support where needed for the building and students.

The Denver South Report alumni newsletter is published in February, June, and October. A subscription is included with alumni membership.

The SHAFI board of directors reviewed the results of the online survey and the ballot printed in the October issue of the alumni newsletter. Only 12 percent of subscribers were in favor of keeping the Confederate name, so we have changed the name to Denver South Report in order to encourage younger members to subscribe. In the end, we are all Denver South.

The SHAFI board meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. in the Alumni Office except during July, November, and December. All alumni are welcome.
