Dear Team DPS/DPS Community,
This morning, we held a ceremony to swear in our new DPS Board of Education Directors: Marlene DeLaRosa, Kimberlee Sia and John Youngquist.
Following the ceremony, the Board held a meeting where they elected new Board Officers. With that, I introduce to you our new Denver Public Schools Board of Education:
Dr. Carrie Olson – District 3, President
Marlene DeLaRosa – District 5, Vice President
John Youngquist – At-Large, Secretary
Kimberlee Sia – District 1, Treasurer
Scott Esserman – At-Large
Xóchitl Gaytán – District 2
Michelle Quattlebaum – District 4
I am excited to continue working with our Board and you, our community, to make DPS a place where Every Learner Thrives.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing Board of Education Directors, Auon’tai Anderson, Scott Baldermann and Charmaine Lindsay. Thank you for committing yourselves to the DPS mission, vision and values and for being strong, passionate advocates for our scholars.
