DENVER - Join Denver Public Schools at the second annual Black Student Alliance Banquet Awards, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22. This significant event celebrates the achievements, resilience, and cultural heritage of our black student community.

With more than 350 district students being recognized for their excellence in academics, athletics, arts, leadership, and more, the banquet will feature awards, presentations, student performances, and a keynote speech from a very special guest. 

The district is thrilled to announce Demi Singleton, actress, singer, and dancer, best known for her roles in the TV series the “Godfather of Harlem,” the portrayal of young Serena Williams in the film “King Richard,” and as Sally Reeves in the series “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” as the keynote speaker for this event. 

With the largest Black Student Alliance in the state of Colorado, this banquet is making history in our state. The celebration promises to be one of inspiration, recognition, and unity, as we come together to honor the outstanding contributions and successes of our students.
