Denver - Denver Public Schools Community Hubs are thrilled to invite you to the upcoming parent GED graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 8. This special event will honor the remarkable accomplishments of the GED Class of 2024 and its 54 participants who have successfully completed their GED certification in English or Spanish through the program. The graduation ceremony will be conducted in Spanish with interpretation to English.

The District's GED program plays a vital role in transforming lives within our community by eliminating barriers to workforce opportunities, enhancing employability, and promoting overall family well-being. Through this program, parents are empowered to pursue their educational goals and unlock new possibilities for themselves and their families. Many of whom are new arrival families in our school district. These families are taking full advantage of the Spanish GED program, a crucial step that will enable them to enter the workforce more effectively.

In the 2023-24 school year alone, the six Community Hubs have served an impressive total of 221 parents. The demand for our services continues to grow, with a waitlist of more than 120 participants eagerly awaiting their chance to join our program. This remarkable response reflects the dedication and commitment of our Community Hubs to provide free, wrap-around services to families in need.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the achievements of these inspiring individuals. This event not only recognizes their hard work and determination but also highlights the transformative impact of education on individuals and communities.

Photo, video, and interview opportunities will be available with participants and District representatives.
