Dear DPS Community,
The DPS Department of Climate and Safety is excited to launch CrisisGO across the district. It is a digital safety tool that will improve how we approach school safety, emergency preparedness and daily security. It supports our commitment to a safe, secure school environment.
About CrisisGO
CrisisGO is a digital tool that sends alerts and information during emergencies. It lets us share Standard Response Protocol (SRP) alerts such as Lockdown, Secure Perimeter and Shelter in Place. DPS staff and district partners get critical updates fast to keep everyone safe.
Here are some of the key benefits:
Real-Time Alerts and Updates: The CrisisGo platform offers timely notifications during emergency situations. It ensures that staff, students and families are kept informed with up to date information.
Enhanced Coordination and Compliance: The platform enables seamless districtwide adherence to safety protocols all in one comprehensive system.
Advanced Reporting Metrics: More advanced reporting and analytics to evaluate safety responses and protocols and make data informed decisions.
CrisisGO Rollout Schedule
To guarantee a smooth transition and optimized service across the district, CrisisGO is being implemented in three phases:
Phase One (Launched October 1): Focused on integrating CrisisGO’s communication system for school-based staff, Emergency Management Specialists, Safety Dispatch and district partners. Notifications are sent via email, text message and direct alerts through the CrisisGO app, providing multiple channels for efficient communication. It activates a two-way communication feature, allowing direct communication between school-based staff and DPS dispatch teams for faster coordination.
Phase Two: This phase will introduce building maps and student rosters to assist with evacuations and reunifications.
Phase Three: Future enhancements may include additional safety features such as staff access to wearable lanyard alerts and the ability to initiate lockdowns directly from mobile devices.
We appreciate your support as we bring this upgraded safety system into our schools and look forward to the enhanced communication CrisisGO will provide across our district.
Thank you for collaborating with us to keep our schools safe and supportive, creating an environment where every student can thrive.

Sincerely,
Greg Cazzell
