Brenda J. Allen, Ph.D serves as the Superintendent’s Transition Team Equity and Excellence Subcommittee Chair. 

Dr. Allen is Professor Emerita of Communication and former Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Colorado Denver. She is the author of Difference Matters: Communicating Social Identity. Her research has chiefly focused on power dynamics and social identity.
