Collaborative School Committee

Collaborative School Committee
The Collaborative School Committee (CSC) is a group of parents, teachers, support staff, and community members who advise the principal on specific areas related to school improvement. The role of the CSC is to provide guidance, evaluation and recommendations to the Principal on the school’s Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) and budget. Additionally, the CSC provides input on Program Design Changes, School and Community Engagement, Principal Evaluation/Selection, School Schedules and Safety and Discipline Procedures. The committee is an advisory committee and does not make any official decisions.
Meetings occur quarterly, with additional meetings in December, January, or February (as needed); meetings 5-7 pm. on the dates below, although times are subject to change. Any member of the Lowry Community (parent, student, teacher, staff and neighbors) is welcome to attend our monthly meetings in person or virtually. A time is set aside in each meeting for an Open Public Forum where anyone can bring questions, concerns or comments. Interpreters are available for the meeting with prior notice. The schedule for the 2024-2025 School Year is as follows:
September 24, 2024 (virtual training for CSC members)
February 25, 2025
May 13, 2025
Additional meetings as needed.
CSC members want to ensure that all members of the Lowry Elementary Community (parents, students, teachers, neighbors) feel informed, but that they also have a voice.
